Taking Care of Your Clothes |
|
Garment
dyed and laundered clothing offers a terrific easy care way to dress. Here
are the simple basics of keeping our clothes looking their best. Don't worry
if your Tencel clothing comes out of the washer stiff as a board. It is very
strong when wet! After you put it in the dryer it will be a soft again and
ready to wear. |
| |
| Washing |
| |
|
Liquid detergent is best; if using powder make sure it is fully dissolved before putting clothes in the machine |
| |
Do not use detergent with bleach mixed in it or bleach itself. No need to use Woolite |
| |
When your clothes are new, wash them with other darks for the first few times. Some excess dye may continue to rinse out for a few washings |
| |
It is best to wash your white clothing separately, and you can use a detergent mixed with bleach here |
| |
Remove from the washer immediately. |
| |
| Drying |
| |
|
Hanging to dry can occasionally produce streaking from residual dye
for the first few washings, so... for the first few washings at least |
| |
Garments should be tumble dried on medium and removed promptly from
the dryer to avoid wrinkling |
| |
After a few washings you can dry your clothes on hangars. This works especially well with the Crepe and Jacquard fabrics |
| |
Never dry in the sun |
| |
Do not dry clean, unless specified on the label . |
| |
| Ironing |
| |
|
For touch ups, iron on the wrong side. |
| |
Iron small parts first, larger sections last. |
| |
Use a hot iron. |
